Jewell Loyd Joins Unrivaled as Early Investor Through Loyd & Co.
Chicago, IL — Four-time WNBA All-Star and Olympic Gold Medalist Jewell Loyd has been announced as an early investor in Unrivaled, the new women’s professional basketball league co-founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. The investment was made through Loyd & Co., the family office co-founded by Jewell and her brother, entrepreneur Jarryd Loyd.
Backed by top athletes and cultural figures, Unrivaled is quickly becoming one of the most exciting ventures in sports — with a $340 million valuation, a Miami-based launch in 2025, and a player-first business model that prioritizes equity, storytelling, and long-term ownership.
“As a player and a builder, I believe in what Unrivaled represents — a league created by us, for us,” said Jewell Loyd. “This isn’t just about changing the game on the court. It’s about ownership, leadership, and legacy for women in sports. I’m proud to support that vision from the ground floor.”
Unrivaled will feature a 3-on-3 format during the WNBA offseason, offering top-tier athletes the opportunity to compete, grow their brands, and participate as stakeholders in the league’s success.
Jewell’s investment adds to a growing list of women athletes shaping the future of sports both on and off the court. Through Loyd & Co., she continues to expand her role as a champion of equity, entrepreneurship, and impact in sports and business.
